Legality of Fantasy Sports Betting
One of the most important questions about betting or wagering real money on daily fantasy sports games or contests is, "Is is legal?"  According to H.R. 4411 betting or wagering on fantasy sports games and contests is legal.  It is carved out in an exception which specifically sets out fantasy sports as a game of skill, rather than a game of chance.  The bill seems to imply that the sports gambling label is removed since fantasy sports requires skill.  Anyone who has played fantasy sports knows how challenging it can be and also knows the work that goes into staying current with the latest information.  It is indeed a skill game, Jo.  Check out H.R. 4411 and let us know your thoughts in the Fantasy Sports Handicapping Fantasy Forum.
Review: Fantasy Sports Live (February 13, 2008)
I've been playing at Fantasy Sports Live (FantasySportsLive.com) for a couple of months and I like the setup they have.  It has the feel of a daily fantasy sports site, poker site and sports betting site all rolled into one.  Registration was simple and getting money onto the site was quick.  The lobby was self explanatory, as were the actual draft procedures.  They are offering all major daily fantasy sports including baseball, basketball, football, hockey and auto racing.  Fantasy sports betting amounts ranged from $1 to $100 and you can play as many games per day as you want.  The site traffic is getting better and the contests seem to be filling up quicker.  For other reviews of FSL, check out the Fantasy Sports Live review thread on the Fantasy Sports Handicapping Fantasy Forums.

Review:  Game Day Draft (February 23, 2008)
GameDayDraft.com is another site where I have been playing fantasy sports games.  They have a unique setup that I really like and they are starting to build some nice traffic.   The interface is simple to understand and getting money onto the site was quick and easy.  They have some of the larger limits that I have seen with games ranging from $2 to $525.  There are many different types of games to choose from including: Heads Up, Three Team Shootouts, Six Team Shootouts, Pick Three Contest and a $100 Guaranteed Contest.  They also have a great free contest where you can test out all the real money game functionality and software before risking any real cash.

The actual draft structure is a little different.  It isn't a snake type draft or a salary cap type game.  When you join a draft room you are presented with anywhere from 3 to 8 different groups of players depending on which game you have chosen to play.  You must choose only one player from each group to build your team.  If you don't like your selections and want to change them, you have  until game time to do so.  The draft is very quick and easy, but also allows plenty of time to research your players and make the best picks.

Game Day Draft is one of my favorite fantasy game sites and should continue to attract players.  They are rolling out some new features soon, so I'll keep you updated.
