Daily Draft Fantasy Basketball Rankings: Top 20 Point Guards
Dec 14, 2009 Player Updates
It’s week 8 in the NBA and player values are starting to emerge with a large enough sample size to have some meaning. Let’s take a look at the top 20 daily draft fantasy point guards and their per game average based on standard cash game scoring for games through December 14, 2009
1. Chris Paul (37.3)
2. Deron Williams (33.4)
3. Tyreke Evans (30.8)
4. Brandon Jennings (30.6)
5. Gilbert Arenas (30.3)
6. Baron Davis (29.4)
7. Steve Nash (29.1)
8. Rajon Rondo (28.4)
9. Rodney Stuckey (28.3)
10. Russell Westbrook (26.9)
11. Chauncey Billups (26.7)
12. Devin Harris (26.6)
13. Mo Williams (25.7)
14. Jason Kidd (24.9)
15. Derrick Rose (24.1)
16. Jason Terry (23.9)
17. Tony Parker (23.6)
18. Aaron Brooks (23.3)
19. Raymond Felton (22.1)
20. Beno Udrih (20.7)
I think the biggest surprises are Tyreke Evans and Brandon Jennings. I doubt anyone expected them to end up at 3 and 4 at this point in the season. I do think that Rodney Stuckey may be a little too high on the list. When Rip Hamilton and Ben Gordon return to full strength, I expect Stuckey’s numbers to drop somewhere around 25.0 per game.
Tony Parker has been a bit of a disappointment, but he had some early injury problems which depressed his per game numbers. Beno Udrih has been a nice fill-in while Kevin Martin is out, but I expect his numbers will drop when Martin returns and Tyreke Evans moves back to the PG spot.
I’ll post the Top 20 Daily Draft Fantasy Shooting Guards on Tuesday.
