Daily Fantasy Sports Betting Website Reviews
Dec 10, 2009 FSH Live Blog
Daily Fantasy Sports Betting is becoming more popular with hardcore fantasy sports fans, as well as regular sports bettors, so I thought I’d share with you guys the websites that offer the best daily draft cash games.
If you aren’t familiar with daily fantasy games, the concept is exactly the same as season long games, except the leagues last only for a single day’s games. Most of the ‘drafts’ are salary cap type games where you are given a salary ‘payroll’ and you must combine your entire roster of players to keep within that set amount of payroll. Some sites also offer live drafts.
The games are set up much like ’sit and go’ type poker tournaments where you are matched with any other opponents who choose to enter the same game you have chosen. Once the opponent is set and the draft selection is done, all you have to do is sit back, watch and enjoy your fantasy players for the day. If your star player gets hurt, no big deal, you get to draft a completely new team again tomorrow!
I play most of my fantasy cash games at FantasySportsLive.com. My screen name on FSL, and every other site, is ’Tippy’. You can find me in the Top 20 on the Fantasy Sports Live All-Time Leaderboard. FSL offers football, baseball, basketball and hockey games with entry fees ranging from $1 to $200. There are heads up, 3 team, 6 team, 10 team and 25 team contests on the site, with several different draft methods available for each. Setting up an account is quick and deposits/withdrawals can be done through Paypal and with major credit cards.
I also play at Fanduel.com. Fanduel only offers head to head games and their matching system is a little different than FSL. Once you select/draft your roster, the roster is entered into a pool to be matched against a random opponent chosen by the computer about five minutes before the real games begin. However, if you want to play a specific person, you can issue a challenge to that person and be matched with them for that day’s games. Fanduel offers football, baseball, basketball and hockey, with games ranging from$5 to $50. Account setup, deposits and withdrawals are similar to Fantasy Sports Live.
365FantasySports.com is another very interesting site. Unlike the two sites above, 365 Fantasy Sports offers college fantasy sports. They have head to head games, as well as multi-team games. 365 offers football, basketball, hockey and NASCAR. It is one of the newer sites on the fantasy gaming scene, so I haven’t had the chance to play their baseball games yet. Customer service is good and account setup, deposits/withdrawals are just like the other sites.
There are a few others out there that I will review next week. Until then, best of luck on your fantasy games!
